Obituary of Nora A. Harris

Nora A. Harris, was born in Licking, Missouri to the late Arch and Lucy (Welch) Hicks and departed this life March 16, 2013 at Houston, Missouri. She grew up near Arthurs Creek and went to the Cantrell School. She was baptized at an early age in Arthurs Creek and remained a member of First Baptist Church of Licking until her death. Nora was united in marriage to Herman Harris May 10, 1928 and to this union one son, Norman was born. She worked with her husband for 30 years as tax collector for the City of Licking. She had also worked at Sisk Pharmacy, Smith's Clothing Store, Lane’s Clothing Store, and Green's Antique Store. Nora was a resident of Licking all of her life. Nora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Norman; four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by a granddaughter, Lisa Vassallo and her husband, Joe; a very special great-granddaughter, Larissa; a daughter-in-law, Norma; a special friend and caregiver, Annette Foster; numerous other relatives and friends.
