Obituary of E. Marie Edwards

Elwanda Marie Edwards was born April 4th, 1932 in Quilin, Missouri to George William Rowland and Pansy May Rowland. She went to be with the angels May 17, 2015. Marie was married to Carl Greene and to this union they had two children, Randall Anthony and Ann Marie Greene. In her early twenties she worked as a carhop at White Castle where she met Teddy Harrison Edwards to this union one daughter was born Paula Jo Edwards. In 1965 they moved from St. Louis to Maples, MO where they built a home and farmed. She attended Rock Springs Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Throughout the years she worked at Carol’s Dairy Cup, Hood’s Frosty Treat and Town & Country Supermarket. Everyone she encountered walked away with a smile and a chuckle from her witty replies. Her all-time favorite things were Bingo and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband,Teddy; two brothers Junior and William Rowland. She is survived by her children, Randy of Rolla,Mo, Ann of Salem,MO and Paula and husband Rodney Sullins of Licking,MO; five grandchildren, Chana Greene, Miranda Greene, Teddy Durham, Michael Durham and Andrea Sullins Dukeman; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Greene and Thomas Dukeman; one sister Annabelle Kohl of High Ridge,MO and brother Robert Rowland of St. Louis,MO, along with several nieces and nephews. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and above all she was no respector of persons. She had compassion for people no matter their walk of life. She spoke to everyone, not just the select few.
