Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lady Throne; son, Casey Throne; wife, Stephanie Throne who was the love of his life; and infant granddaughter, Kayleigh May Norris. Earl and Stephanie married on February 14, 1970. Their marriage brought three sons into the world, Chad, Ryan, and Casey. Stephanie passed away on February 10, 2006, he cared for her with great love until her last breath. He lost his strong resilient proud son, Casey, in August of 2021 nearly breaking his heart after a hard-fought battle against cancer Casey and Wanda gave him the nickname “Squirrel” years ago and it stuck, he loved it! Earl is survived by his daughter in law, Wanda Jo Throne of Pittsfield, IL; grandson, Kollin Throne of Pittsfield, IL, Alexander Throne, Jackson Throne, Mason Throne, and Joshua Throne; granddaughters, Brittany Norris of Pittsfield, IL, Bailey Jo Coultas (Jeremy) of Pittsfield, IL, and Madison Throne; five great grandsons and two great granddaughters all of Pittsfield, IL; and his adopted family, Kirk, Tammy, Kamryn, and Jadyn Barnes of Licking, MO, Collin Nash of Nashville, TN, Andy, Kaleigh, Walker, Willow, and Marleigh O’Daniel of Licking, MO, and Eli Keeney of Licking, MO. Earl grew up in Bunker Hill, IL. He was in the Bunker Hill Wild Bunch Gang. They would do Wild West reenactments. He was always the "fall man". Earl loved being the stunt man. He worked as an autobody man at this shop for years. Later in life he worked at Cargill as a maintenance man and retired from there. Earl then worked construction and remodeling jobs. His hobbies included hunting in the winter months with Kirk Barnes and his family on their farm in Illinois, chasing whitetails and enjoying deer camp. He loved watching all kinds of action movies and westerns, reading countless western books, and being a revolving customer at the movie store and library. He loved coming down to Missouri and staying with Kirk and Tammy. They’d have countless big meals, birthday parties, holiday hunts, trail rides on the razor, a couple elk trips, and countless rides to get more hunting gear. He loved his wolf dog, Hawk and horse, Black Betty, and later in life his dog, Hallie. You could always count on a good conversation if he could hear his phone ring. He was always there for his friends whenever they needed him. His favorite thing to do was see if he could get a rise out of anyone who crossed his path. He was one of the toughest friends and we will all cherish every memory made together.
