Brenda Dawn Rector, 68 of Licking, Missouri, passed away at 5:22 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024, due to complications from cancer, COPD, Covid, pneumonia, and heart problems.

Brenda was born to Clyde and Rosalie Backues in St. Ann, Missouri. She lived in and attended grade school at Chesterfield and attended Francis Howell High School. She was married to Pete Rector, raised four children, and lived close to Montauk State Park with her family until she moved back to town.

Brenda lived a life of serving the Lord, serving her community, acting with virtue, and giving abundantly to those in need. She loved her life-long passion of sewing, enjoyed genealogy research, and spending time with family.

Brenda is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lee. She is survived by brothers, Ralph, Clyde Jr., Bobby, and James; sisters, Pam and Jeannie; children, Thomas, Kyle, and Amy (Joe); stepsiblings, Steve, Greg, and Patricia; grandchildren, Benton, Brody, Saulyer, Bryor, and Justin Thomas; boyfriend, Bill Nichols; and special friend, Paul Shelton.

A visitation will be Wednesday September 25, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday morning, September 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Fox Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Licking Cemetery. Services will be presided over by Brother Robert Gifford.
