Obituary of Jerry Gene Marchbanks

Jerry Gene Marchbanks, 81, of Licking, MO passed away on May 31, 2024. Jerry was born on April 19, 1943, in Bragg City, MO, the son of Curtis Eugene Marchbanks and Lucille (Jackson) Marchbanks.
Jerry served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Throughout his life, he worked as a farmer and a mail carrier. He loved racecars. Jerry was a talented man, and he built his own drag cars and also built street rods and pull tractors. He won many races and trophies with help from his special brother-in-law, Ike Lavely. In his later years, Jerry enjoyed traveling and playing golf with friends. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. Jerry will be missed by many.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Rick and Nick; daughter, Ava Saunders; three grandchildren, Anna and husband, Jackson, Ally, and Ericka and fiancé, Seth; and six sisters, Faye (Wanye), Carolyn (Mac), Donna, Sandy (Rick), Mary (Stan), and Terry (Don). He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janie and JoAnn.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM at Licking Bridge Builder's Senior Center, 114 Green St., Licking, MO 65542. Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
