Bessie Irene Sellars, 86, of Licking passed away June 30, 2023. Bessie was born on February 10, 1937, in Winona, MO, the daughter of Daniel John Bradshaw and Cora Jane Dennings. Bessie married James Hamill in 1953. They had five children together. James passed away in 1960. Bessie married Victor Sellars in 1966, one child was born to this union. Throughout her life, Bessie worked as a waitress, bartender, in a sewing factory, in a tv factory, and as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. Bessie is survived by her husband, Victor Sellars of Licking; children; Patricia Colvard (JB) of Licking, Ethel Mitchell (Eddie) of Goodman, Kimberly Sellars (Kenny) of Licking, James Hamill of Goodman; sister, Ethel Hines (John) of Shawnee, KS; 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Hamill; son, Danny Hamill; parents; and brothers, Lee, Glen, Everett, Herman, Lester, Ray, and Elmer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bessie’s name may be made to the Gideons.
