Annette Josephine James was born in St. Louis, MO on January 8, 1971, to Jesse David James and Sharon Kay James. Annette passed away May 14, 2023, at the age of 52 in Licking, MO.

Annette always made her family a priority in her life. She devoted her life to raising and caring for her daughters, Morgan Kay and Autumn Marie. Her girls fondly remember movie nights, gardening, shopping for school clothes, crafting, and countless lazy summers hanging out on her back porch. She loved the holidays and always went all out when decorating, especially for Christmas. Annette loved spending precious time with all three of her grandsons, Karter, Colt, and Ryder. She loved these little boys with all her heart. Anytime you mentioned their names her eyes would light up.

She devoted her life to not only taking care of her family but to serving her community through social work with the elderly and providing service for the handicapped. She provided crisis interventions, family centered services, and de-escalated countless domestic situations. Annette was wise beyond her years. Some would say she had an old soul. Conversation with Annette was always theoretical, philosophical, and enlightening. People loved to sit on her back porch for coffee and conversation.

Annette is preceded in death by her father, Jesse; special Aunt Velma; and little cousin Mary Jo.

She is survived by her mother, Sharon Kay; daughters, Morgan Kay and husband, Kody of Licking, MO and Autumn Marie of Licking, MO; and grandsons, Karter, Colt, and Ryder. She also leaves behind her brother, Eric David and wife of Licking, MO; special nephew Trey David of Salem, MO; and great nephew Gus. She will also be greatly missed by her faithful companion, her dog, Shaggy Maggie, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
