Dearest Chantel,
I remember 3 or 4 of us, your Mother included, driving home from Houston late one night in fog so thick that you could only see about 3-4’ in front of the car. Somewhere along the way we ran over something. Well your Mother was beside her 18 yr old self and was just sure that it was a person that had been asleep in the middle of the road! The fog was so bad that I refused to try and turn around. We went back early the next morning and found absolutely nothing! Although we all were positively sure that we had definitely run over something in the densest fog that I’d ever seen the night before. Still my favorite fog story to date.
Your Mother was a very important part of my childhood. I hope you and Sophia will have someone so special in your lives.
