Orval Vernon Kohenskey “Jr”, age 74, was born April 15, 1946 in Newburg, MO to Orval and Earleene (Ingram). He passed away on Dec 3, 2020 at home with his family by his side in Edgar Springs, MO. Orval married Lolita Mae Curtis on August 12, 1967. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Clyde Kohenskey; and sister, Shirley Case. He is survived by his sons; Kevin and wife Michelle of Edgar Springs, MO and Michael and Clara Burgdorf of Edgar Springs, MO; two brothers, Henry of Edgar Springs, MO, and Robert of Granite City, IL; one sister, Ruby Curtis of Duke, MO; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Orval was proud to serve in the military as a mechanic during the Vietnam War. He later worked at Wonder Bread in St. Louis and other various jobs. Eventually, he moved back to Edgar Springs and worked for Phelps County driving a dump truck until he retired. Orval loved going to church and telling people about the Lord. He would never meet a stranger and could spend hours talking to people. He loved going fishing and spending time with family and friends. Orval loved just riding around with Lolita looking at the farms and scenery. Orval will be greatly missed by loved ones and a host of friends. Memorial contributions in Orval’s name may be made to Beulah Cemetery.
