Obituary of Thomas N. Graen II

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nick Graen was born August 5, 1953 in Des Moines, IA, to Thomas and Dorothy (Beeman) Graen. He passed away August 24, 2020 at his home in Licking, Missouri. Nick served his country in the Marine Corps and was a Marine the rest of his life. He always said “Once a Marine, always a Marine”. After the Marines, he met his wife Pam. They were married on May 4, 1974 and had two sons, Tommy and Dean. Of all the places he lived as a child, he always considered Licking his home. In 1978 Nick moved back to Licking and said he would never leave again. He delivered mail on HCR7 for 14 years. He then went to work at SCCC as Storekeeper in the warehouse from October 1999 until his retirement in January of 2018. He loved to play games and watch movies. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed holidays and big family get togethers. He always had a smile and a generous heart. He was a very loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Nick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Guy; sisters, Deborah Madison, and Sydney Sullins. He is survived by his wife, Pam of the home; sons, Tommy and wife Naomi of Reed Spring, and Dean and wife Teri of Rolla; six grandchildren, Zomisha, Miamy, Gabby, Azriel, Drake, and Luna; one sister, Loni Brown of Licking; three brothers, Jay and wife Janie of Salem, Lyle and Doyle, both of Rolla; plus a special son, Bobby Graen and wife Chat of Licking and their family; and so many nieces and nephews that he truly loved. Per Nick’s wishes, the family chose direct cremation. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net. Arrangements are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
