Obituary of Larry Paskel Guffey

Larry Paskel Guffey was born February 15, 1955 in Albany, Kentucky to Jimmie Guffey Sr. and Veta (Wallane) Guffey. He passed away July 5, 2020 at the age of 65. Larry married Karen (Mayer) Guffey on June 9, 1973, having two children, Heidi (Guffey) Moloney and Heather Guffey. Larry is survived hy his two children, Heidi Moloney and husband Matt, and Heather Guffey; father, Jimmie Guffey Sr. and wife Tammy; two brothers, Jimmie Guffey and wife Michelle and Jason Guffey; one sister, Alane Gregory and husband Brian; six wonderful grandchildren, Alissa Vestal and husband Dylan, Seth, Madeline and Riley Moloney, and Alexis and Ethan Marts; two great-grandchildren, Deagan and Aiden Vestal; and a new bundle of joy due in October; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; mother, Veta Guffey; sister, Deborah Rhodes; and nephew, Jonathan Rhodes. Larry was retired from the Department of the Army with 42 years of civilian service. He served 8 years on the City of Licking- Board of Alderman and numerous years on the Licking Volunteer Fire Department. He loved to socialize. He could talk to anybody about anything. Cruising with the Corvette Club in his corvette was a love of his and Karen’s. He was an amzing cook and loved to play his guitar. A memorial service for Larry will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Licking, Missouri with full military honors.
