Obituary of Barbara Lynn Brunkhorst

Barb Lynn (Morehead) Brunkhorst passed away May 14, 2020. She was born October 9, 1949 in Albia, Iowa to Paul and Josephine (Carlson) Morehead. Barb graduated from Albia High School, class of 1967. She then attended Clark College in Dubuque, Iowa and received the bachelor of arts degree Magna Cum Laude at the 128th annual commencement of Clark College in 1971. Her degree was in economics. She married Warren Brunkhorst on April 3, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albia and together they had six children. Barb loved being a mother and always said that her greatest accomplishment was raising such wonderful individuals. Barb is survived by her six children; son, Jeff, and wife Penny of Rolla; daughter, Lexi Sizemore, and husband Neil of Springfield; daughter, Heidi Lyle, and husband Scott of Rolla; son, Brad, and wife Chrissy of Licking; son, Josh, and wife Beth of Eureka; son, Kyle, and wife Tiffany of Licking. Barb is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kelsey, Kylie, Kade, Josie, Lauren, Owen, Reagan, and Emma, one greatgrandson, Bentley, and sister, Deb Muldoon, as well has many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Greg Morehead. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Erin McConnell officiating at Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow the service at Beulah Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home in Licking, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Licking Pentecostal Holiness Church.
