Obituary of Jerry Way Williams

Please share a memory of Jerry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jerry Way Williams was born on April 26, 1941 and went to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on May 6, 2020. Jerry was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to his loving parents, Connie and Clara Faye Williams. During his early years Jerry attended school and worked on the family farm growing and picking cotton. Jerry left school in the 11th grade to serve his country honorably during peacetime in the Army. Jerry was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey at the same time as Elvis Presley. After service he moved to St. Louis working at several area jobs and met the love of his life, Donna Kay Wulff whom he married on May 16, 1970. After relocating to Licking, they had a beautiful daughter, Tessa Rose. Jerry worked hard to provide for his family, including serving as a Licking police officer, worked at a local factory, a rock quarry and finally at Heaven Materials in Rolla for twenty-six years. He liked fishing, hunting, riding country roads, coyote hunting, playing cards and was the chief hush puppy maker at Don Storm’s river fish fry. Jerry was the last person baptized at the old Pentecostal Holiness church to the surprise and delight of his wife and family. He never met a stranger and was well thought of by all who knew him. Jerry was a hugger and instituted hugging in all the family for which they are eternally grateful. Preceding him in death are his parents, Connie and Clara Faye Williams; sister Pasha Williams; brother-in-law John Sain, Jackie Ward, Red Ward, David Friend and Gina Wood, Phil Wulff, Lenny Ward, CJ and Pearl Wulff. Left to mourn his passing are loving wife, Donna Kay and daughter, Tessa Rose; sister Romelle Sain; sister-in-law’s, Myrna Friend and Jackie Keaton; step-daughter, Donna Groves (Danny), grand-children, Jerad Stokes (Tara), Ashley Young (Shane); grandchildren, Gracie Young, Cora Lee Stokes, Rowan Stokes and baby Stokes to come; along with many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him and them; and finally also Jerry’s faithful dog, Lilly.
