Obituary of Charmaine Peterson McDonald

Charmaine McDonald was born on January 26, 1935 in St. Louis, MO.  She went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2019 at her home in Licking, MO at the age of 84.

Charmaine is survived by her daughters, Rickie Moncrief and husband Fred, Patty Johnson and husband Tony Long; stepdaughters, Sherry McDonald and Kristina Kay; sons, Bill Peterson and wife Connie, Pete Peterson and wife Margie, and Mike Peterson; stepson, Terry McDonald and wife Peggy; 25 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and many many friends.

Charmaine is preceded in death by her husband, Roy McDonald (married in June 1984); parents, William and Florence (Breidenback) Burgdorf; brothers, William Burgdorf and Richard Burgdorf; sister, Viola Kilna; son, Robert (Bob) Peterson; stepson, Roy Dwanye McDonald; daughter, Joyce Morris; and step daughter, Donna McDonald.

Charmaine was an avid collector of coins, rocks, Elvis memorabilia, and birdhouses.  She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, playing cards, fishing, playing Bingo, running with friends, going on adventures with her sidekick Pat, and Sunday NASCAR races.  Charmaine above all else, loved spending time with her beloved family.  Charmaine will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Licking with Rev. Darius Wentz officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Jadwin Cemetery with Stephen Orland, Jason King, Dakota Decker, Dakota King, Luke Burgdorf, Bill Burgdorf, Brad Moncrief, and Lynn Moncrief as pallbearers.  Memorial contributions in Charmaine’s name may be made to Gma Pam’s Rack Pack or Three Rivers Hospice in Licking.  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
