Obituary of Billy Wayne Curtis

Billy Wayne Curtis, 75, of Duke passed away November 17, 2019.  Billy was born in Duke, MO on August 26, 1944, the son of William W. and Nellie S. (Vaughan) Curtis.

Billy married Ruby A. Kohenskey on February 23, 1966.  Billy was saved on June 6, 1976 and baptized on June 13, 1976 at the Bethesda Temple in Granite City, IL.  He was a member of the Rambo Church and the Coon Hunting Association.  Billy enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and riding his four wheelers and tractors.  He loved horseback riding and going on trail rides.  Billy raised chickens and could often be found at the sale barn or fish fries.

Billy is survived by this wife of 53 years, Ruby Curtis; children, Angela Parker (Jim) of Laquey, MO, Sheila Curtis of Duke, MO, Tina Sapp (Darren) of Laquey, MO, Billy Curtis (Stacy) of Edgar Springs, MO, and Bryan Curtis of Duke, MO; brothers, Jurl Curtis (Betty) of Mexico, MO and Johnnie Curtis (Darlene) of Duke; nine grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Delbert Curtis, Orville Curtis, Alonzo Curtis, Paul Curtis, and Everett Curtis; and three sisters, Lolita Kohenskey, Roberta Riley, and Betty Button.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Licking with Brother Lonnie Case officiating.  A visitation will be held two hours prior starting at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Cody Curtis, Justin Sapp, Matthew Sapp, Michael Bryant, Richard Gilbert, and Randall Lane.
