Obituary of Charlie McCallister

Sandford Charles “Charlie” McCallister was born on March 10, 1937 to Sarah Ellen (Lewis) McCallister and Vernon McCallister of Hazelton MO.  He has an older sister Maxine Weaver of Colorado Springs and a younger brother Clyde of Licking.  Charlie’s mom passed away when he was two years old, so he lived with his grandparents, John and Laura Lewis. Later in life he went to live with his uncle Elmer and wife Bonnie.  In 2008 he started living with cousins, Kenny and Kelley Lewis.  In 2016 he went to live at Houston House Nursing Center, Houston MO.  Charlie enjoyed, hunting, fishing, playing dominos, pitching horseshoes and spending time with family.  There was never a dull moment when Charlie was around. He also loved going to church and fellowshipping with his church family.  Charlie departed this life and entered his heavenly home on October 31st, 2019 following a brief illness.  He is now in the arms of Jesus.  The place he strived so hard to get to.

A memorial service for Charlie will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Fox Funeral Home, Licking. Graveside will follow in Craddock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Craddock Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
