Obituary of Dalton R. Backues

Dalton Ray Clyde Backues, age 28, of Licking, MO was reunited with his son, Abel Backues, on August 14, 2019.  Dalton was born on May 2, 1991 in Rolla, MO to Cherrie Thomas and James Backues.

Dalton married Jasmine N. Atkinson on November 30, 2018 in Licking, MO.  He enjoyed shooting guns, fishing, floating the river, raising pitbulls, four wheeling in Chevy trucks, and spending time with his family and friends.  Dalton worked as a loader operator, did construction, and as a mechanic. 

Dalton is survived by his wife, Jasmine N. Backues; step-sons, Kane Casso, Abel Hance, and James Hance; mother, Cherrie Thomas; father, James Backues (stepmother, Michelle Backues), sisters; Christan Thomas (spouse, Thomas January), Jessica Modde (spouse, Charles Ritz), and Brooke Backues; brother, Seth Backues; grandmother, Janet Thomas; grandfather, Junior Ritz; nieces, Rynlee Backues and Emma January; nephew, Cooper Backues; and stepsister, Mariah Backues.  Dalton is preceded in death by his son, Abel James Ray Backues; grandparents, Ray Hayes, Clyde Backues, and Rose Ritz; uncle, Ray Hayes; and aunt, Crystal Hayes.
