Obituary of Robert "Bob" L. Wulff

Robert “Bob” L. Wulff, 78, of Licking passed away December 26, 2018 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

Bob was born in Argyle Mo to Victor Andrew Wulff and Pauline Catherine (Boehm) Wulff on December 10, 1940. He spent most of his childhood on the family farm in Argyle. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Army.  During his enlistment he spent 27 months stationed in Germany. Bob was a heavy equipment operator during this time. He spoke fondly of his time in Germany and would recount many stories about his adventures while there.

Throughout his life, Bob wore many hats. He spent time running a saw mill, being a heavy equipment operator and traveling the states in his Mack diesel truck.  He enjoyed raising mules and farming.  Bob could often be found fishing down at the river.  He was a people person who was larger than life.  Bob never met a stranger, he enjoyed talking with the people in his community. Bob was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by his children, Suzie (Bobby) Blackburn and John (Kim) Wulff; grandchildren, Montana, Dakota, Cami, Paige, Maggie, Abbi, Alli, and Taylor; Brother-in-law Jim Oligischlaeger, Step-siblings, Don (Gloria) Burnett and Norma Hughes; several beloved nieces and nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Pauline Wulff and siblings, Verna Oligschlaeger, Joann Buschmann, and Ken Wulff.  

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 W. Hwy 32, Licking, MO.  A visitation will start at 9:00 am.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob’s name to Licking VFW Post #6337 designate transportation fund.
