Obituary of Lou Ann Stewart

Lou Ann (Mayberry) Stewart, 91, of Fordland, formerly of Licking, passed away on November 10, 2018 at her home.  Lou Ann was born in Licking, Missouri on September 27, 1927 to Al and Mattie (Nobel) Mayberry. 

Lou Ann married Fred Stewart on July 1, 1944 in St. Louis.  He passed away in 1988 after 44 years of married.  To this union three children were born; Edna, Don, and Kathy.    Lou Ann was a member of the Gospel Church in Licking.  She was baptized on March 25, 1999 at the Licking Church of Christ.

Lou Ann is survived by her children, Edna Linson, Don Stewart (wife, Lou Ann), and Kathy Baker; sister, Leota Courtney; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Stewart; father, Al Mayberry; mother, Mattie Mayberry; six sisters, one brother, and three grandsons.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S Main St, Licking with Wesley Wallace officiating.   Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am-11:00 am.  Interment will be at Williams Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Matthew Stewart, Lance Moore, Danny Campbell, Luther Courtney, Gary Hassell, and Marshall Anderson.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lou Ann’s name may be made to Williams Cemetery or Gma Pam’s Rack Pack.  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
