I was sorry to learn of Alene's passing when Sue McVay called to give me the news. I always so enjoyed my visits because I always stopped to see Alene when I was in the area. She never mentioned her station in life, but asked about others, and was quick to update me on what was going on with the rest of her family. I always left feeling uplifted after a visit with her.
She enjoyed a life "well lived".
