Mary S. Stone, daughter of Utah and Mildred (Wilson) Scott was born march 12, 1920 at Maples, Missouri. She went to be with the Lord January 23, 2015 at the age of 94, while at her home in Licking, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Dean Stone on January 6, 1940 at Salem, Missouri. Dean and Mary spent their entire lives near Licking. For many years they were engaged in farming. In her younger years she also taught school. Later she was employed at the office of Personnel Management at Ft. Leonard Wood, where she worked for many years. Mary was an accomplished seamstress and gardener. She delighted in creating crafts and clothing for family and friends. In her final years, Mary’s health declined. Still, she enjoyed many days of contentment, thanks to her three devoted caregivers, Tammy Beasley, Sharon Sellman and Rhonda Bell. Assisting these ladies in her care , was Dean and Mary’s faithful friend, Raymond Seydlitz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Utah Scott; her husband, Dean Stone; a brother, Garnold Scott; sisters, Erma Stone, and Fern Wilson; brothers-in-law, Coy Stone, Roy Stone and James Stone; sisters-in-law, June Stone and Ora Cameron; nephews, Dennis Cameron and Ron Stone. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Fairy Stone; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews and five great-great-great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
