Obituary of Janice Swindell

Janice Ann (Bumpus) Swindell was born on November 2, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harold Truman Bumpus and Dorothy Jean (Crider) Bumpus. She passed away January 5,2015, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She moved to California in 1958 with her family. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1960. She married James Ferrell Swindell on September 3, 1960. They had four children together, Jennifer Lynn Anderson, Julia Lee Mc Namee, Jeannie Morgan and James Robert Swindell. She worked for Hubert M. Goldman, MD in Northridge California for over 26 years until she developed Alzheimer's disease. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, painting, reading, gardening and crocheting. She was an avid Pepsi lover. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents Harold and Dorothy Bumpus and her former husband James Swindell. She is survived by Jennifer and husband Greg Anderson, Julia and husband Owen McNamee, Jeannie and husband Jim Morgan, Jimmy and wife Alicia Swindell. 9 grandchildren: Amber and husband Jimmie Stephens, Brandon and wife Brooke Kuhn, Stephanie Morgan, James Mc Namee, Michael Morgan, Matthew Anderson, Lizzy Swindell, Bailey Morgan and Spencer Mc Namee. 10 great grandchildren: Aubrie, Austin, Jaxon, Adam, Avery, Colin, Logan, Kaylee, Preston and Raylin. Two sisters, Nancy Dussich of Indiana and Fran Rosier of California.
