Obituary of Kathryn F Gallion

Please share a memory of Kathryn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kathryn F. Gallion was born March 19, 1947 to J.D. Nichols and Kathryn F. Price in Cadwell, Texas and passed away at her home in Licking, Missouri May 3, 2018.  She was a Yellow Rose of Texas through and through.  She lived through a lot in her life; some good, some bad, but if you asked her she would say that she would change nothing because it all made her who she was.

She had two children with her first husband, Ronnie Stroud who died, making her a widow after thirty years together.  She eventually was married to the next and last love of her life, William D. Gallion.  They were together until she was called home by her heavenly Father nearly seventeen years later.

She had a spitfire personality and an unmatched wit.   She was a fierce wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  She loved her family with a passion rarely seen and would fight for her family and friends without question.  If you tried, you could not list all the great things about this woman or describe how much respect everyone had for her.

She worked at many things in her life, but she never found anything more rewarding than her time as a mother and grandmother.  There were many that came to think of her like their own mother and she came to think of them as her own children.

She will be missed by all and the world is all the poorer for the loss of such a strong willed and Godly woman.  The sorrow can be felt by no one more than those she left behind.

Kathryn is survived by her husband, William D. Gallion; sons, Charles Stroud and Jonathan Stroud; stepsons, William K. Gallion and his wife and Johnny Gallion; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and friends she always thought of as family.
