Ruby Lee (Helms) Hall Roeder of Licking, Missouri, passed into her heavenly home 11 December 2014 at 11:50 pm. Ruby was born February 2nd, 1921 to Grover and Selma (Stevenson) Helms. She was the oldest of ten girls. She was saved and baptized in Newburg. Ruby graduated from Newburg High School Spring 1939 and married Earl Hall 20 October, 1939. They lived most of their married life in Licking, Missouri. To this union three children were born; Ruth Housden-Canfield of Rolla, Missouri, JD Hall of Conway, Missouri, and Deanna Cooper of Licking, Missouri. Ruby had six grandchildren; Robin (Housden) Jacobs, Rachel (Housden) Romine, Kathy (Hall) Black, Doug Hall, Steven Cooper and Willy Cooper, two step-grandchildren Kenny Downing and Teresa Downing, four great-grandchildren; Bradley Cooper, Dakota Hall, Dallas Hall and Taylor Cossie, and one step great-grandson, Dustin Willingham. She had one great, great-grandson, Peyton Cooper. Ruby was an active member of several different lodges and the Democratic Party. She worked at Rawlings Sporting Goods in Licking lacing baseballs then worked at the Licking library until her retirement and she was a Scout Master. She enjoyed traveling and reading, her cats and spending time with her family. In 1996 she married John Roeder in the First Baptist Church where she was a member and they continued to live in Licking, when they weren't traveling. She began attending a new church in Licking, Abounding Hope with her daughter Deanna Cooper and eventually moved her membership to Abounding Hope. She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, five sisters; Norma Lewis of Germany, Goldie Moreland of Rolla, Missouri, Lucille Swift of Springfield, Missouri, Betty McEwen of Edwardsville, Illinois, Carolyn Denmon of Houston, Texas, step-grandson, Kenny Downing of Conway, Missouri and son-in-law, Coy Cooper of Licking. Ruby is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great, great-grandson. She is also survived by four sisters Dorothy Heatherington of Nixa, Missouri, Fern Affolter of Granite City, Illinois, Rosemary Brown of Arkansas, Marilyn Martin of Edwardsville, Illinois and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
