Leroy Franklin Kinder was born August 16, 1934 to Roy Kinder and Susie (Harris) Kinder at Lenox, MO and went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2014 at Texas County Memorial Hospital surrounded by his entire family. He was united in marriage to Barbara Lou (Mahan) Kinder on December 14, 1953. To this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, one sister, Norma Sargent, one brother, Lynn Kinder and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Parker. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home, son, Roger Kinder and wife, Betty of Licking; daughters, Deborah Smith and husband, Lenzy of Licking and Wanda Moncrief and husband, Larry of Licking; brother-in-law, Bob Sargent and sister-in-law, Kay Kinder; four grandsons: Dale Kinder and Kim, Roy Kinder and wife, Carrie, Ethan Kinder and wife, Haley, Chance Moncrief and wife, Sierra; four granddaughters, Debrina Smith and Ron, Amanda McNew and husband, Colt, Cassandra Watskey and husband, Tyler and Laraea Moncrief; 13 great-grandchildren: Kasey, Addison, Kyle, Kailie, Katelyn, Khloe and Colby Kinder, Pearcy and Parker McNew, Colten Moore, Adrian Lewis, Janie Rae Rogers and Kinder Moncrief. Leroy started his farming career at the age of 16 when he bought his first John Deere tractor. This began his cattle farming career which led to the purchase of his first farm in 1958. In addition to farming, he established Kinder Roofing in St. Louis during the 60's. But his love for the farms brought him back to the country where he began custom lime and fertilizer spreading. This expanded to the opening of Kinder Plant Food in 1984 with his son, Roger. His greatest joys included his wife, children, and grandchildren, raising cattle, and coon hunting. 23 years ago all other hobbies took a backseat when Leroy surrendered his entire life to Jesus Christ and was faithful in spreading the good news until his final breath. Even during his last 3 years of health issues which limited his ability to leave his home, he continued calling to witness and pray for any and every concern he was aware of. Leroy’s compassion for others will always be remembered by his wife, Barbara, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and countless others who have been touched by his love. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
