Obituary of Robert C. Peterson

Robert (Bob) Charles Peterson was born July 30, 1955 at home in Licking, MO to Robert Carl Peterson and Charmaine Burgdorf McDonald. He departed this life suddenly March 4, 2016. He married Dena Elaine Hildreth on June 4, 1994. Bob loved Dena dearly and she was the love of his life. In 1973, after graduating high school, Bob joined the US Navy, serving his country proudly for six years. He also enjoyed working and teaching as a master gardener. It especially thrilled him to introduce young children to the joy of growing their own vegetables. Bob was also very well known as, “The Derby King”, of Texas County, MO, for several years, enjoying every minute of it! He is survived by his mother, Charmaine McDonald, daughter with Dena, Chana Greene, his sisters and brothers, Rickie Moncrief and husband, Freddie, Bill Peterson and wife, Connie, Pat Johnson, Pete Peterson and wife Margie, Mike Peterson, Terry McDonald and wife Peggy, Sherry McDonald, Dwayne McDonald, Christina Kay; father and mother-in-law Bill and Pat Hildreth; nieces and nephews, Bradley Moncrief, Angela Hawkins, Jessica Wetzel, Melissa Orlando, Michelle King, Josh Peterson and Mandy Peterson. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dena, his father Robert Peterson, a sister and brother-in-law Joyce Ann and Al Morris, one sister-in-law, Sabrina Peterson and brother-in-law Larry Johnson also numerous other relatives and friends.
