Obituary of Sabrina Lynn Jones

Please share a memory of Sabrina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sabrina Lynn (Hildebrand) Jones was born Oct. 22, 1963, on a sprawling ranch in Santa Maria, Ca., to Jerald Gale Hildebrand and Rebecca Lois Mace. She was welcomed into God’s arms on February 27, 2016, following a lifelong battle with juvenile diabetes. After initially moving back to Missouri when Sabrina was an infant, the family relocated to Houston, Texas, on Christmas night of 1966. Sabrina grew up there surrounded by loving family and great friends, enjoying all of what city life had to offer. She traveled to the Hildebrand homestead in Roby, Mo., often as well, spending time riding horses on the farm and cooking with her paternal grandmother, Rosa. Following her mother’s death in 1979, 16-year-old Sabrina moved back to Roby. She developed a love of writing poetry to cope with her loss, spending much of her time creating heartfelt verse. Not long after, new joy came to her life in the form of a son, Matthew Gale Berry, born on March 9, 1981. In 1984, Sabrina again moved to Houston. She held a career in insurance, working for several well-known companies, and even had a gig in modeling. Seven years later, Sabrina permanently moved back to Missouri. On Oct. 9, 1993 she welcomed her second child, daughter Skyler Rebecca Huff. As a stay-at-home mother, Sabrina loved to spoil her children, cook, decorate, host dinner parties and enjoy time with her family. In addition to her love of being a mother, Sabrina loved being a wife. She was married to John Jones on April 26, 2003. Together, the two enjoyed gardening, landscaping, riding their motorcycle and spending quality time, among many other things. No matter her health, Sabrina was always full of love and generosity. Her smile and vivacity brightened up every room she walked in, and she extended kindness to every person she met. She is survived by her two children, Skyler and Matthew; her stepson, Daniel; her husband, John; her father and stepmother, Gale and Mary Hildebrand; her brother and sister, Quentin Hildebrand and Tisha Abell; her five grandchildren: Trenton, Trinity, Trena, Aidan and Riley; and many other beloved family members.
