Floyd “Lightning” Wayne Smith, was born September 11, 1953 to the late Thomas Leslie and Hattie Lynn (Martin) Smith at Eunice, MO and departed this life suddenly at his home on February 23rd at age 62. He graduated from Licking High School. Wayne was employed with Patio Chef, which later became Royal Oak, for many years. He enjoyed watching wrestling, baseball, listening to music and loved working outside. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Don Smith and Carl Smith his sister Joyce Price. He is survived by his children Christopher Smith of Rantoul, IL; daughter Rebbecca and husband Keith Weisman of Farmer City, IL; 7 grandchildren; siblings: Eva Lewis of Licking, Betty and husband Howard Hill of Licking, Bonnie Lewis of Licking, Juanita Maxine Leggett of Ozark, MO and Jim and wife Vicki Smith of Licking, MO also numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
