Judy Evans, daughter of Johnnie and Vivian (Lewis) Cantrell was born April 1, 1943. She passed away October 25, 2014 at her home in Jefferson City, Missouri, making her age 71.
Judy was united in marriage to Arnold O. Evans on June 11, 1961. This union was blessed with a son, Gary Lee.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband; parents; in-laws, Melvin and Beulah Evans; a brother, Jimmy Cantrell and nephew Bradley Cantrell.
Judy is survived by her son Gary, Jefferson City,MO; grandsons Brandon of Virginia, Tyler Evans of Jefferson City,MO; great-granddaughter Adiline Evans of Virginia. She is also survived by brothers Billy Cantrell and wife Jean, St. James,MO, Kenneth Cantrell and wife Lynnette Cabool,MO, Keith Cantell and wife Marilyn of Licking,MO; brother-in-law Don Evans and wife Phyllis of Licking,MO; sister-in-law Carol Russell and husband Hal, Rolla,MO; also a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Judy has been a long time member of the Licking Church of Christ. Judy worked for Rawlings Sporting Goods for 42 years. After retiring from Rawlings she wanted to stay active and busy so she and Arnold started managing Country Inn Motel. She spent the last 9 ½ years enjoying meeting all kinds of people and making many new friends. The last couple of months she moved to Jefferson City, MO to live and spend time enjoying being with Gary and Tyler and loved her time with them.
Judy and Arnold enjoyed traveling to see national sites. She enjoyed her life to the fullest always enjoying people to stop by just to visit and have some good laughs.
She will be greatly missed. We know she is walking on streets of gold with no more pain or sorrows, this will be our comfort for the weeks ahead.
