Obituary
Obituary of Eden M. Bisker
Please share a memory of Eden to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Eden May Bisker was born on August 26, 2003 in Houston, MO to Scotty Gene Bisker and Edna May Grover-Bisker. She went with the Lord on November 19,2015 at the Cardinal Glennon Children's hospital due to complications from leukemia.
Eden is survived by her parents, Scott and Edna, her younger brother Wade Monroe, and her older sister Tyanna; her grandparents Wilfred and Freda Grover of licking, MO, David and Barbara Helman of Crestline, KS, and Charles and Pam Bisker of York, PA and an extended family of relations and friends from everywhere she has ever went. Eden once told her sister that "Strangers are just friends I haven't met yet."
Eden was a delightful and pleasant girl. She was an incessant chatterbox whose energetic optimism was both exhausting and contagious. She loved life, school and church. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Eden during her short 12 years, among them:
Never miss a chance to go to the restroom. Go every chance you get just in case you don't get another chance for a while and try to go even if you think you can't cuz you just might be able to.
Never throwaway old clothes that don't fit or any old stuff, try to give it to someone who needs it or use it to make something new.
If a bug or a varmint takes up residence in your space, grab a stick to try to coax them to leave. If he/she doesn't leave, give them a name, start teaching them tricks, and let them stay. Always love animals (even stuffed ones), name them, and talk to them. They understand you.
Turn everything into an event or party and make it a blowout, pullout all the stops. Nothing is too extravagant for a party and nothing is too small to celebrate. We often had "Tea Party Tuesdays" and "Sundae's on Sunday" just because we could. And EVERYONE is invited! Why not?!
Go to church with a lots of candy, snacks, crayons, books etc.in your bag. NOT because church is boring but you might need to share with someone while you are there.
Hug and kiss everyone when you first see them and then again before you leave (and sometimes in the middle). When you learn someone's name or meet someone new, share some story about someone you else you know with that name or some similar thing, to build a friendship. Invite new friends over to dinner and tell them what a great cook your grandma is to encourage them to really come and eat.
Never say mean things about anybody; they are "folks you just need to pray for." When people are mean there is usually a reason. They are feeling bad about something or somebody has been mean to them.
ALWAYS dance and sing when a Taylor Swift song comes on the radio. ALWAYS!
Give to every charity that asks. Choose to believe what everybody says, even people who are asking for money, no matter what your mom says about it.
In her lifetime, Eden made impacts time after time. Those who've taken her lessons to heart will continue to ensure that a cold drink gets offered for every visitor, everyone gets greeted with a huge, genuine smile, and every insult gets forgiven.
Above all, Eden loved everyone and everything left notes -- to everyone, about everything. You may read this and recall a note or a picture from her that touched your heart, tickled your funny bone, or maybe made you say "huh?"
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eden Bisker Scholarship Fund at Landmark Bank.
