Obituary of D. Deane DeWeese

On April 23, 2014, Dorothy Deane (Fox) DeWeese went home to be with Jesus. She has entered into her well-earned peace and rest. She trusted Jesus as her Savior at age 14. The life she lived was a testimony of her never ending faith in her Savior. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Licking, Missouri, where she attended faithfully. She was the daughter of Milt and Florence Mae (Edwards) Fox, born on September 13, 1927 in Texas County, Maples, Missouri; one of seven children. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Earl DeWeese on April 22, 1943 and to this union, four daughters and two sons were born, Velma, David, Ronald, Eula, Dorothy and Beth. Deane was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; sons, Ronald and David; daughter, Velma; parents, Milt and Florence; one sister, Myrtle Hill; and four brothers, Ralph, Claude, Lee and her twin, Don. She is survived by her daughters, Eula and her husband, Michael Bradley of Phoenix, Arizona; Dorothy Hoffman of Batesville, Arkansas; and Beth and her husband, Bryant Chilton of Licking, Missouri; grandchildren, Terri Moncrief, Matthew DeWeese, Kendra Goforth and Jonathan Chilton all of Licking, Missouri, Shanna Williams and Justin Bradley of Tempe, Arizona, Jacob Hoffman and Janiece Hoffman of Batesville, Arkansas; one brother, Roy Fox and his wife Della of Mt. Carroll, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Peggy Fox of Rolla, Missouri and Nina Fox of Hutchinson, Kansas; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
