Obituary of L. Lauvell Crews

Please share a memory of L. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leata Lauvell Crews was born to Alvin and Climmie (Cassidy) Willbanks on April 21, 1938 in Palace, Missouri. She devoted her life to her beloved family. Lauvell gave Motherly guidance and love to her siblings and along with her loving husband, raised their children with Godly understanding and compassion. Lauvell was eager to give an outstretched hand to anyone in need and was quick to welcome them into her family. Although her struggle was long and hard, Lauvell continually showed the love of Christ to others through her courage, patience and kindness. Some may say that she lost her battle but we know she has her victory in Jesus and happily rejoices. At the age of 75, she was reunited with her daughter in heaven on September 25, 2013 while at Phelps County Regional Medical Center. Preceding her in death were her daughter, Leata Kay Coker; her father Alvin Willbanks; two brothers, Jack Laverne and John Henry Willbanks, her brother-in-law, Paul Wingenbach; niece, Amanda Case and numerous other beloved family members. Lauvell is survived by her husband, Gene Crews; son, Ivan Daniel Crews and wife, Carla Sue; daughter, Teresa Ann Crews and her son, Devin Dakota; grandchildren, Johnathun and wife Sherry Sullins; Joshua and wife Andrea Sullins; Jarad Crews; Leslie Crews; Diana and her husband Delmar Connor; along with ten very much loved great-grandchildren; her Mother, Climmie Willbanks; and siblings, Jerry Willbanks, Troy Willbanks, Coy Willbanks, Lura Wingenbach, Patsy Grace and husband Tom, Kathy Sharp and husband Carl; as well as a large extended family. eata Lauvell Crews was born to Alvin and Climmie (Cassidy) Willbanks on April 21, 1938 in Palace, Missouri.
