Archie Neel Anderson Archie Neel Anderson, Jr., son of the late A.N. Anderson, Sr. and Mary E. (Smith) Anderson was born on January 9, 1932 in Wichita, Kansas. Archie passed September 5, 2013 after a lengthy battle with leukemia. He served his country in both the US Army and US Air Force and then retired from the armed forces after twenty-one years of dedicated service. He retired a second time after nineteen years of work within his local community for South Western Bell Telephone Company. He was an active member of the Ozarks Mountain Amateur Radio Club and the 7290 Traffic Net where he received several honors and awards for his outstanding performances and participation. Archie is survived by his wife, Brigitte Anderson; three children, Leslie Anderson-Longoria, Dean Anderson and Dirk Anderson; as well as his sister, Laura Driesel and her husband, Mack; a brother-in-law, Dieter Reimann and his wife, Inge; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Any and everyone who ever encountered Archie knew him as a friend and he will be sorely missed. He enjoyed listening and talking on his HAM radio and spending time on his computer. He was always willing to help his friends and was a loving father and family man. Graveside service for Mr. Anderson was held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri with full military honors. Pallbearers were Dean Anderson, Dirk Anderson, Devyn Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Shea Anderson and Mack Driesel. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Ozark Mountain Amateur Radio Club.
