Cleo Genevieve Walker was born February 27, 1934 at Rolla, MO to the late James and Josephine (Koenitz) Denton and departed this life peacefully May 24, 2013 at Rolla, MO. Cleo graduated from Rolla High School and went on to further her education at Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO. She was united in marriage to William David Walker on August 12, 1956 to this union two sons were born. They moved to Licking, MO were they resided until recently moving to Rolla, MO. Throughout the years she worked as administrative secretary at Rolla Hospital, a teacher’s aide and a clerical worker at B.J. Myer’s Doctor’s Office. Cleo enjoyed flower gardening, motorcycle riding, cooking, singing in her church choir and reading. She was a member of the Fidelis Club, Wesleyan Service Guild “UMW”, and Licking United Methodist Church Choir. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Sterling, James, Gene, Daniel, Bobby, Harold, Eva, Josephine and Dorothy. She is survived by her husband William “Bill” David Walker of Rolla, MO; two sons John Denton Walker and wife Tracy of Rolla, MO; David Donald Walker and Wendy of Licking, MO; four grandchildren: Zachary Walker, Anna Walker, Nicholas Walker and Ava May Walker; her sister Rosemary Roose of St. Louis, MO and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
