Obituary of Narlin D. Neal

Please share a memory of Narlin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Narlin Delano Neal was born March 22nd,1956 in Houston, MO and after a long battle with diabetes and congestive heart failure he passed away April 8th, 2016 at his home in Cabool, MO, where he resided with his beloved and devoted son, Jesse Nolan Neal. He was preceded in death by brothers: Nealin, Nolan, and Narson Neal, his father Joseph Ray Neal and mother Nellie June Neal. H is survived in death by his children: Jesse, Joseph and Jodi, his siblings: Netha Kmetz, Neldon Neal, Nelton Neal, Natrila Mace, Narlene Neal, Nynal Neal and Jackie Jackson. Narlin graduated high school early and shortly thereafter joined the Navy, where he proudly served his country as a Hospital Corpman and received an honorable discharge upon his release in July, 1976. He was a man of many talents and took great pride in his work as a rock mason, prison guard, and especially restoring classic automobiles. It seemed there was nothing he couldn’t master once he set his mind to it. Narlin loved the outdoors whether it be hunting for game or Indian artifacts, wade fishing a creek for a mess of bass and goggleye, or his special barbeque skills armed with only a steel grate instead of a grill. But nothing compared to the love he had for his children, grandchildren, family and close friends. Narlin was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit at VA Medical Center in Popular Bluff, MO on the 30th day of March, 2016 and as his eyes were closed he had a vision of his mother waiting to lead him to the pearly gates. God bless and Hallelujah, new body, new home, hush, be silent, thundered the loud voice from the taking, waiting for Narlin’s, new body to come home. We’ll surprise him as he’s carried through heaven’s gates. See the family and friends in his new dwelling place. We’ll surround him with love and I’ll hold him tight, as he dwells through the ages where there’s never no night. His pain is all over, his sorrow and fear, no memories of heartache for the ones that are dear. So silent dear saint, we’ll surprise them with a shout, let him know this is what heaven’s all about, for there is only joy and happiness, and angels that sing Glory Hallelujah as I give him a new name. Now raise your banners nigh so he can read them well, with words I’ve written in this place where he’ll dwell. The words are all bold and they read this way, your name is written down in the book of life by an angel one day, I’ll be your new father you’ll be my son for you’ve conquered old Satan and your race has been won. In memory of a beloved family member, who’ll always be in our hearts and memories. Your family
