Linda Jo Tannini Obituary

Linda Jo Tannini, 69 of Licking, passed away on January 23rd, 2026. Linda was born on November 19th, 1956 in St. Louis Missouri.

Linda is survived by her only child Angela Engle-Walton; daughter in law Amber. Her grandchildren Cole Aguirre, Abigail Robinson (Nathan) and great grandchild Colten. Siblings; Sherry Jackson-Davis, Bill (Joan) Jackson, Larry Jackson, and Faun (Toodie) Jackson, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Faun and Verna Jackson; brother Michael K Jackson; sister Peggy and brother-in-law Bill Payne; and honorary sister Patricia (Patty) Payne.

Linda was the devoted mother of her only child, Angela Engle-Walton, and a steady, loving presence to many others throughout her life.

She was first married to Robert (Bob) Engle, who preceded her in death. During their marriage, she helped raise his three children; Lissa, Donna and Bobby, embracing them as her own and remaining an important part of their lives while they were growing up.

She later married Edmond (Ed) Tannini, whom she considered the greatest love of her life. As a proud military spouse, she moved frequently in support of his service and was deeply involved in military family and spouses’ organizations wherever they were stationed. During this marriage, she lovingly helped raise his two children, Laura and Eddie, whom she also considered her own. Though their marriage later ended, their bond and shared life remained deeply meaningful to her.

Above all else, she was a woman defined by loyalty, generosity, and her ability to love beyond labels or titles. If you were part of her family, by birth, marriage, or circumstance, she showed up for you fully. She was very involved in all family functions. She was an excellent caregiver also.

Linda worked in retail throughout her life. From supervisor of a 7-facility food court in Germany, to cake decorating master at Baskin Robbin’s, to a department manager at JC Pennys for many years.

She was very resourceful. She could make anything out of everything. And if she had it and you needed it, she was willing to give it.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter, extended family, and all those whose lives she touched.
