Richard Eugene Myers II, age 66, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at home in Licking, Missouri surrounded by family. Richard was born July 17, 1959, in Keokuk, Iowa to Richard Myers Sr. and Geraldine Myers.
Richard graduated from Brentwood High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1978. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant E5. He also proudly volunteered for the Cañon City Fire and Rescue Department. Later, he worked for the South-Central Correctional Center as a Correctional Officer where he retired from.
Richard enjoyed riding horses, tinkering with motors, working with wood, fishing, football, watching the news, war movies, and listening to music.
Richard married the love of his life, Cathleen Myers on October 6, 2001.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Geraldine Myers; two sons, Ranier Patrick, Rilee Patrick; daughter, Georgia Myers; and one brother, Randy Myers.
He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Myers; children, David Myers, Amy Patrick, Desirea Counts, and Randy Patrick; siblings, Mike Myers, Patti Smith, Kevin Myers, Chistine Haskins, and Tom Myers; grandchildren, Roger, Rilee, Jonathan, Christopher, Devin, Kelly, Elizabeth, Adriana, Jeremiah, Conner, Abigail, Jayme, Montgomery, Savannah, Julianna, and Lane; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Mae, and one on the way.
A funeral service for Richard will take place Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rock Springs Baptist Church with Pastor John Jordan officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
