Donna Jean Taylor was 73 years old and was born on January 7, 1952 to Delmar and Juanita Garrett in Success, Missouri.
Donna passed away at Missouri Baptist University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on March 16, 2025.
Donna graduated from Houston High School in 1970. For many years, she was the floor supervisor at Brown Shoe Company in Houston, Missouri. Her favorite job was head cook at Licking Elementary School. She enjoyed making lifelong connections working there.
She loved her family, going on side-by-side rides, camping, reading, decorating, puzzles, fishing, and walks. Donna always saw the best in everyone and would help anyone that needed it. She made every person in her circle feel so very special. She will be missed greatly by family and friends.
Donna was of Baptist faith and her favorite hymn was “In the Garden”.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents; and three of her sisters, Bettie Kell, Ruby Richardson, and Dolores Warner.
Donna married James Taylor on June 15, 1975, whom she is survived by. Their two children are Joseph and Kimberly Taylor of Licking, MO, and Stanley and Tammy Taylor of Edgar Springs, MO; survivors also include her grandchildren, Stanley Jr. and wife Jayme Taylor of Licking, MO, Brittany and husband Jared Keaton of Salem, MO, Shania Taylor of Benson, NC, Megan and husband Clayton Griffin of Rolla, MO, Kyra Taylor of Raymondville, MO, Garrett Taylor, Breanna Garrett, Levi Garrett, and Kaylee Garrett, all from Licking, MO; Donna was also blessed with five great-grandchildren who she loved and adored; and four sisters, Evelyn Galligher of Columbia, MO, Barbara Willson of Bucyrus, MO, Bonnie Warner of Springfield, MO, and Beverly (John) Green of Success, MO.
Per Donna’s wishes, a graveside service will take place at Williams Cemetery at a later date.
