J.B. Colvard Obituary

J.B. Colvard, age 76, passed away February 8, 2025 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Born September 24, 1948 in Dumas, Texas to Claude and Eva Colvard.


J.B. was united in marriage to Patricia Colvard on September 24, 1972. He worked for Eve’s Janitorial, Storm Lumber, and the Licking schools.


He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with family, making memories with grandkids, collecting knives, old car models, and John Wayne movies.


J.B. is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia; parents, Claude and Eva; brother, Rocky; sister, Callie; mother-in-law, Bessie Sellars; sister-in-law, Mary Hamill; and brother-in-law, Danny Hamill.


He is survived by children, Michelle (Brad) Osborne of Houston, MO; Julie Colvard of Licking, MO, Susan (Charles) Brooks of Mountain Grove, MO, Chrystal (Chris) Hadley of Licking; siblings, Kenneth (Donna) Colvard of Haysville, KS, J.C. Colvard of Vinita, OK, Jim (Kathy) Colvard of Montreal, MO, sisters-in-law, Ethel (Eddie) Mitchell, Kimberly (Kenny) Mondragon; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Hamill; father-in-law, Victor Sellars; sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.


J.B. will be missed by all who knew and loved him.


A visitation will take place Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s Bibles in loving memory of J.B.
