Larry R. Curran was born in Duke, Missouri on January 29, 1945, to Charles Edward Curran and Ardelia Pearl (Lee) Curran. He passed from this life on February 4, 2020 at the age of 75 years after a battle with cancer. Larry spent his life in Duke Missouri. He loved to hunt, fish and trap. He was featured on the PBS documentary, Fire and Ice, a Story of the Ozarks, and was interviewed while canoeing down the Big Piney River. Larry worked construction all his life and ran Curran Fur and Root Company for many years. Larry was very artistic and could build anything. He had a special talent for repurposing items into something new and beautiful. On August 17, 1964, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann (Hake) Curran. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his two sons, Larry LaDon (L.D.) Curran, (Teresa), Waynesville, Missouri and Edward Alvin Curran, (Alicia), Columbia, Missouri, and six grandchildren, Alexis Curran, Trent Curran, Kayla Reed (Dustin), Elizabeth Curran, Emily Curran and Samuel Curran, one brother Charles Curran (Kathy), his sister Georgia McBride, his sister in law, Audrey and friend Bob Cook and many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by two special paw print friends, Muffin and D.J. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Virgil Curran, sister Verona Barr and special Uncle Wilford Lee. Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor, his willingness to help his neighbors, and his love of the outdoors. Memorial contributions in Larry's name may be made to the Curran Family at the Community Lighthouse Church.
