I only knew Mr. Gern through his daughter Rhonda and her fantastic, wonderful, loving family. I saw Gern many times at birthday parties for the grandchildren, or great grandchildren, and he always had the best sense of humor and smiles for everyone. He truly loved his family and it showed all over his face every time he looked at one of them. He made me feel like family and I will truly miss him. He will live on in our hearts and we will cherish each memory we had with him. Heaven has gained another angel.
