Anna Marie Boden, of Licking, passed away Friday evening at the age of 74 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Leukemia. As a widow raising three teenagers on her own, she married Staff Sgt. Colin C. Boden, III while living in Texas. During her years as an Army wife, she traveled overseas and was active in the communities where they lived. She was assistant manager of the Pattonville Thrift shop outside of Stuttgart, Germany and on another tour of duty to Germany she was manager of the Wildflecken Thrift Shop. In 1993, after Colin retired from the Army, they sold their house in Texas and moved to Licking near where her family had lived years before. When not helping with the grandchildren or great-grandchildren, Anna Marie's favorite hobby was cross-stitching and playing cards with some of her closest friends. Anna Marie was widowed by her first husband, Jesse F. Woodruff, in 1971 and preceded in death by brothers; Frank Newcomb and Richard Newcomb. She is survived by her second husband, Colin C. Boden, III; four children, Allen Woodruff and his wife Lynn of AZ; Daniel Woodruff and his wife Sherilyn of SC; Shirley Camp and her husband Art of Licking; and Mickey Grubbs and her husband Wesley of TN. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
