Jimmy Lee Spitler was born in Waynesville, Missouri on March 1, 1951 to Curtis Oren Spitler and Virgie Irene (Chambers) Spitler. He went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO at the age of 65. Jim is survived by his wife, Betty; his daughter, Becky and son-in-law, Tim; three grandkids Tesla Brown and husband Ben, Jerra Ingle, and Seth Ingle; two foster grandkids, Kanye and Aiden, two great-grandkids, Makenna and Bentley, four brothers, Bill Spitler and wife Paulette, Bob Spitler and wife Peggy, Jack Spitler and wife Debbie, Terry Spitler and wife Anita, and sister Betty Joanne Spitler; two brother-in-laws, Gary Cavaness and wife Benita, and Garold Cavaness and wife Kathy, and sister-in-law, Ina Hodge, his mother and father-in-law, Roy and Pauline Cavaness, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Irene Spitler; his sister, Mary; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Brown. Jim farmed and worked at MFA for 30 years. He never met a stranger and was loved by all. He loved to spend time with his family and was the life of the party. Aggravating his nieces and nephews was a fun pastime, and they all loved their Uncle Jim. Jim thought the world of his daughter, son-in-law, grandkids and great-grandkids and loved spending every minute possible with them.
