Champ Lane was born to Frank and Emogene (Wilson) Lane on October 7, 1952. He passed March 1, 2016 at his home in Duke, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eric Lane and two sisters, Missoura Cox and Margrie Hill. Surviving Champ, are his wife, Jan (Brumett) Lane of the home; a brother, Wilson and his wife, Reba of Licking; sisters-in-law, Linda Lane of Flat, Judy and her husband, Roger of Rolla, Brenda Hoffman of Jerome, Penny Bass of Doolittle; brothers-in-law, Alvin Hill of Duke, and Leroy and Lonnie of Brumett of Doolittle, Dave and his wife, Elaine Brumett of Rolla; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family plus lots and lots of friends. Champ enjoyed fishing with his wife, Jan, and working on his farm. Champ extended a helping hand to everyone. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with extended family. He enjoyed the construction business that he and Daniel Hill built together. Champ never met a stranger and his favorite thing to do was visit with everyone he met.
