Jo Ann Matlock, 72, daughter of Howard Lee and Fern (Deese) Quick, was born October 3, 1940 in Licking, Missouri. She was surrounded by her family when she passed away on December 30, 2012 at her home in Lenox, Missouri. Jo married Ronald R. Matlock on December 21, 1957. Together they had three children, Cindy, Mike and Ginger. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Peggy Ruth Quick, brother Keith Quick, son-in-law Willard Heseman, nephew Jeffrey Kruger, and nephew Chad Dewayne Quick. Jo is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home; her daughter Cindy Ann (Matlock) Heseman of Linn, Missouri; her son Mike R. Matlock of Lenox, Missouri; her daughter Ginger (Matlock) Schroer and son-in-law Gene Schroer of Jefferson City, Missouri; two sisters – Daisy Ellen (Quick) Stewart of Rio Linda, California and Marie (Quick) Routh and husband Don of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister-in-law Betty (Floyd) Quick of Licking; four grandchildren – Kathleen Elizabeth Hinton; Jake Owen Hinton; Cierra Jo Schroer; and Abby Mae Schroer; seven great-grandchildren Mason, Demont, Isabelle, Wayne, Micah, Tripp and Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews. When her children were young, Jo worked for the March of Dimes for a period of time and also as a waitress, but Jo dedicated most of her life to loving and raising her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
