Obituary of Judith A. Piatt

Judith A. Piatt, daughter of the late Howard and Juanita Wetzel, was born on August 10, 1938, in Nashville, IL. She passed away at her home in Licking, Missouri on July 10, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Judy resided in Missouri most of her life, having lived in Wright City for 12 years prior to moving to Licking, MO, in 2000. She is survived by two children, Lori McCool of San Diego, CA and Andrea Piatt of Boston, MA, two grandsons, Blake and Cameron, two sisters, Kaye Martin of Las Cruces, NM and Linda Settle of Denver, CO, four nephews and a large circle of friends near and far. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Juanita Wetzel of Benton, IL, as well as long-time companion George Ivanac of Licking, MO. Judy loved horses and raised them during much of her life. She was an entrepreneur, having owned many restaurants during her life, and she also was an avid reader and author. She enjoyed her pets, traveling, especially to Colorado and Branson, MO, and spending time with her friends and family.
